Question

During the 2019 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Ford wanted to give visitors a special experience of the launch of their new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The event consisted of the Press Show for 750 invited guests and then a public show for the fair visitors.

Solution 

In collaboration with our sister company VR Owl, we produced a 360 degree video about the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. We then went to Detroit with 750 Lenovo Mirage Solo headsets to prepare everything. Through our VR Sync software it was possible to play the video on all 750 headsets at the same time. In addition, a team of our event supporters was present to ensure that everything went smoothly during the product launch.

Result

Thanks to good preparation and the event staff who were present on location, the product launch has become a great success. The visitors were introduced to the new Mustang in an innovative way, which was hoisted onto the stage by cables after the video. It was the world’s first VR viewing on this scale and even made the local news in Detroit.
